Hooray, the first real warm day of spring, I know it’s late but I’m praying this means we will actually get a summer! Oh how we’ve all missed the warm breath of the suns rays. So much so that even though it wasn’t any more than 17 degrees,we aired the picnic blanket and the kids had their dinner in the garden, washed down with a nice glass of homemade lemonade. I have to say, eating outdoors is the best idea when it comes to kids, there’s no need to sweep floors or wipe down tables after them, who knew children make more mess than feeding time at the zoo!
So all in all it was a good evening,happy children yelling like Indians around the garden,the lawn mower getting its first outing,a bonfire, and me happy as a pig in muck, digging in my veggie plot. What more could you ask. And all because you decided to give us a visit Mr. Sunshine!
300ml(1/2 pint) water
1.5 litres (2 1/2 pints) water
First make your stock syrup,dissolve the sugar in the 300ml of water,by bringing it to the boil and continuing to boil for two minutes
Juice your lemons and mix with the stock syrup and around 1.5 litres of water to taste.
Serve with ice.
